As a Social Media Manager, I had been to San Diego, California once before, for the Social Media Marketing World Conference that is held in the city every year. The first trip, I didn’t have the chance to really immerse myself in this beautiful place. This second time, I told myself it would be different. This time I would get to know San Diego; but most importantly its street art.

The first day I dedicated entirely to discovering the beautiful Little Italy and Gaslamp Quarter. One of my favorite things to do while visiting a new city is actually, not having a plan and getting lost in its streets, so that’s exactly what I did. My favorite thing that happened that day was actually finding this amazing and colorful coffee place called Heartsleeves Coffee located in Little Italy, around the corner of Fir & India next to l&a. The coffee was to die for, and the ambiance and décor was so unique. However, my favorite part was the staff. They’re so delightfully fun and attentive. You can tell that they really love working there, and honestly, who wouldn’t! If you ever visit them, you have to try their “6 Impossible Things” coffee ☕️. It’s what I had and can’t wait to try it again!
One of the best things about San Diego is their public transportation and all the graffiti art that covers their trains. It’s true though: if you happen to be in a hurry and unfortunately find yourself on the wrong side of the tracks, you can end up waiting for up to 35 minutes for the entire train! The picture above shows that moment when I started loosing it but there was absolutely nothing else to do but laugh.

Having good friends and booze is definitely the best way to start an epic night in San Diego. Sometimes you end up going to see the seals at La Jolla at 6AM, just because! And sometimes you find pretty cool colorful murals: “Making the world a grater place one grilled cheese at a time.”

And last, but definitely not least, I visited the EPIC Old Town. Let me tell you something: this is the cultural meca of the city. You can see their Mexican heritage everywhere you look, from the shops, to the people to the street art. Color is the one thing that stands out wherever you point your head to. This was definitely my favorite part of the trip, and I can’t wait to go back to this magical city full of tradition and cultural pride. San Diego, I’ll be seeing you very soon!
