Welcome to the one interactive art installation where I feel most at home. A museum and collaborative art exhibition that exceeds every color limit and makes you live every wish you ever had during your childhood years… But this time as an adult! I am talking about no other than the Color Factory, which opened last August in New York. And of course, after having one of the most fun and memorable experiences of my entire Instagram life in the one they had in San Francisco, I HAD to come all the way from Puerto Rico to see their new building and experience in New York City.

Located in Soho’s Hudson Square, the Color Factory’s New York exhibition was created as an ode to the city colors, which were captured by the various artists that collaborated in this project, resulting in a museum that teases the human curiosity and creativity, inviting individuals to join in, no matter their age.

This vibrant museum was created with the help and collaborations of many young, innovative, unique and original artists that made it their goal to hypnotize all attendees’ senses in a colorful journey. The collaborators include artists, illustrators, designers and makers, local food vendors and non-profits.

And last, but DEFINITELY NOT LEAST, you have the epitome of childhood dreams: the blue ball pit! This time, painted like the blue New York skies! I cannot tell you how amazing it feels to get drowned in this pool and play like a kid with your loved ones. Plus, you get ice-cream in this room and a special surprise gift to take with you!

The best part is that in the end, when you finish that last room, you still get a chance to keep discovering all the city colors, when they hand you a map with all these places that continue the Color Factory experiences outside the walls of the museum, and in the streets! I can’t wait to see what is the next locale for the Color Factory, and the truth is that wherever they go, I will follow, as the experience this museum provides color junkies like myself, is forever addictive.

whoa, that’s so cool! I’ve lived in new york for 2 years and now this colorful museum is in my bucket list when I go back!
