What happens when the colors of an Island inspire the creativity of a group of Puerto Rican artists? A pop up museum called Colors of Puerto Rico, in which the joyful personality of the Puerto Rican culture is praised and transformed into an interactive experience of 6 color themed rooms.

I could’t be more excited when I was invited by San Patricio Plaza (the mall where the museum is at) to see and experience first hand the artsy adventure that a group of young local artists and designers created for every person ready to interact with an innovative and unique space. This is the colorful, stunning and breathtaking experience I had at #colorspr through the lens of the SUPER TALENTED Puerto Rican photographer José Ruiz.

The Green Room🌳

Get your camera ready to walk into the only tropical rainforest in the national forest system: El Yunque. Go up and down the wooden see-saw and take a moment to relax surrounded by the beauty of La Coca waterfall.

The Blue Room 🔵

Beach, PLEASE! Puerto Rico is known worldwide for its crystal clear and pristine beaches. This room takes you to some of Puerto Rico’s most stunning shores like Mar Chiquita and Flamenco Beach. Put on your cutest sunglasses and smile for the camera!

The Orange Room 🍊

Dance to the rhythm of the Island of Enchantment inside this room, dedicated to different Caribbean traditions: Puerto Rican slang, music, dance, festivals and gambling. This room is all about the Puerto Rican joyful personality and how we can make any moment into a party!

The Yellow Room 🌻

I can’t remember the last time I was so in love with an installation that looked this beautiful and dreamy. Although this is a 4 wall room, somehow it felt infinite. Step into this space and experience the freshness of the Finca de los Giralones (Sunflower Fields) that you can enjoy in the Southern town of Guánica.

The Red Room 💋

It’s time to get sassy! Red: the color of strength, passion, hotness, and of course, fire!🔥 All of these are characteristics of the Puerto Rican personality. No matter where we go, these cultural traits make us stand out from the rest.

The Rose Room 🍇

Let the charm and wonder of the old fortified city take over in this room. Old San Juan’s most iconic stops come to life here. Welcome to El Castillo San Felipe del Morro, the blue cobblestone streets, and the historic garitas.

Exit Hallway

Before saying goodbye to Colors of Puerto Rico, you get to exit through a hallway that celebrates diversity, and the fact that no matter how different we can be physically from one another, in the end, we are one culture, one voice, one Nation: Puerto Rico.🇵🇷 Thank you so much #colorspr for making our Puerto Rican pride the epicenter of the experience you provide every visitor.
