Never did I EVER think I would have the opportunity to go Mural Hunting in such a stunning and dreamy destination like Brazil! Turns out that life surprises you in the most beautiful ways, and the man that has my entire heart and future, my fiancΓ©, turned out to be Brazilian. π And so as you may know, with a long distance relationship comes a lot of travel. And what better way to get to know Renato’s country than by walking by his side the streets of Brazil. I promise you, the art you are about to see in this post is absolutely stunning, so let’s get to it!

Kobra’s birthplace

Kobra is a Brazilian muralist born in SΓ£o Paulo, who has become one of the most famous and important street artists of our time. Having painted more than 3,000 murals on five continents, Kobra is the creator of the biggest mural in the world called “Ethnias”, which you can find in the city center of Rio de Janeiro. Some of his pieces that I’ve visited include “Escadaria das Bailarinas” and murals dedicated to peace seekers in the world like Gandhi, Madre Teresa, Malala, Albert Einstein and Nelson Mandela.

SΓ£o Paulo, Brazil
SΓ£o Paulo has become one of my favorite cities in the world, but most importantly, a second home. Not only is the people some of the most hospitable I’ve ever seen, but the food is amazingly delicious and the city is vibrantly colorful. With neighborhoods completely dedicated to street art like Vila Madalena, this city is an urban art masterpiece on its own.
Beco do Batman, SΓO PAULO
Located inside the Vila Madalena, Beco do Batman is one of SΓ£o Paulo’s most famous street art alleys. This graffiti and mural destination has more than 30 years and it features the art of some of Brazil’s most famous urban artists and muralists.

SΓ£o Paulo’s City Center
The city of SΓ£o Paulo is one of the coolest cities with urban art so stunning, I honestly can’t wait for you to visit! Hosting what is literally the coolest McDonald’s in the world called the MΓ©qui 1000 , this restaurant celebrates the #1000 McDonald’s in Brazil. It’s a really cool museum located in the middle of the Avenida Paulista. The city also has colorful neighborhoods like the hip Pinheiros and the Japanese neighborhood called Liberdade.

Bahia, Brazil
Bahia: the hottest part in Brazil, and I’m not only talking about the weather and the food!π In my last trip to Brazil my fiancΓ© surprised me with a romantic escape to Salvador, Bahia in celebration of our first year anniversary!π₯° Not only did we have the chance to visit the magical little town of Pelourinho, (where Michael Jackson filmed his “They don’t care about us” video), but we also had the chance to enjoy the beautiful street art along the way, dedicated mostly to the history of the Black population in Brazil and their struggle for peace and acceptance.
See you soon Brazil!
This December I will have the chance to celebrate yet another New Year’s Eve in Brazil, so as you can imagine, I am way too excited. Renato and I are visiting a new town called Arraial do Cabo, among many other new stops. I can’t wait to show you the beautiful street art I have yet to discover in this country that in just one year has stolen my β€οΈ forever. AtΓ© logo, Brasil!
