One thing is to go mural hunting the streets of your country, and finding amazing colorful urban art. However, it is totally a different feeling when you can take those young urban artists and bring them to your work so they can take over the place for an entire day. This is exactly what happened in La Concha Resort’s event #ArtLIVE.

By now you may know I am an obsessed street art fan. What you may not know is that I am a Social Media Manager from 9-6 at a hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico called La Concha Resort. The hotel gave me the amazing opportunity to create an event and invite the muralists (which I am a big fan of) Bianca Sofía Montoya, Rafael “Rafique” Vega and Héctor Collazo for a mural competition filled with music, drinks and lots of dancing. Attendees had the chance to vote for their favorite piece in the end, and Bianca won.

It was such an honor, and quite an experience watching Bianca paint live, who is known for painting women faces, Rafique for his detailed attention to the brush, and Héctor for his project #78pueblosy1bandera, in which he has the goal of painting one Puerto Rican flag in all 78 municipalities of our Island. Each known for their individual aesthetic, perspective and style, all three gave color and spark to La Concha’s lobby.
